Our Purpose
The principal purpose of the Church is the advancement of the Christian faith according to the principles of the Baptist denomination. The Church may also advance education and carry out other charitable purposes in the United Kingdom and/or other parts of the world.BUILDING COMMUNITY - Romans 12:4-5

Our Leaders
We have a leadership team of hard working men and women responsible for the governance of the Church and the fulfilment of the Purpose through its Activities acting according to the will of God as discerned by the Church Members and subject to any specific or general directions of the Church Members. Claudio together with his family joined us in September 2020 and he has accepted a part-time volunteer role as the minister of Buckminster Road Baptist Church as he continues with the process of getting his full minister accreditation with the Baptist Union in Great Britain. Read More

I have been a member for as long as I can remember and have been the Church Treasurer in and out. My responsibilities include: Dealing with the people, being the main Church contact, helping to prepare meetings agenda, take notes, copy and distribute minutes, and ensuring decisions taken at meetings are carried out.

Works with the minister to manage the church’s finances; counting, recording and banking of weekly offering, making payments of bills, reimbursing expenses, paying visiting preachers and passing on charitable donations, and attend to general bookkeeping, fundraising, and tax responsibilities.

To share and spread the Christian message, with the blessing of Buckminster Road Baptist Church, to all in our local community and beyond using modern technology. To give help, assurance and guidance as necessary to those in need in accordance with our faith.

I have been in membership at Buckminster Rd for 8 years since transferring my membership from Oadby Baptist Church and am now a member of the Church Leadership team. My special responsibility is with pastoral work and the older members of our congregation.

Safe Guarding Officer
Assist the minister and church in ensuring that the church has an appropriate safeguarding policy, which is implemented and reviewed annually. Also, to act as a point of reference for advice on safeguarding issues.
